E-commerce & Marketplace Localization at Scale

Catalogues of 100,000 items: titles and controlled attributes, native keyword research, three-tier processing, and compliance content that must never be automated.

E-commerce localization is not document translation with more words. Volume changes the problem: catalogues run to hundreds of thousands of structured, context-poor fields that nobody hand-translates, and the effect is commercially measurable in a way most translation is not. Your value is not translating it all, it is designing the tiering, owning the terminology, handling the regulated content, and being accountable for the machine-translated remainder. This course covers title conventions and character limits, mapping controlled attribute values to the target taxonomy (free text breaks filtering), researching keywords natively including code-switched search, a three-tier processing model, and the compliance content where a faithful translation can still be non-compliant.
