Financial & Corporate Translation

Annual reports, results and filings: reading a statement, the lakh and crore trap, framework-correct terminology, and the insider information rules you must follow.

Financial translation pays well because the documents move money, the deadlines are fixed by law and market convention, and errors are measurable in currency. This course builds the two competences it needs: enough accounting literacy to understand what a statement is saying, and absolute numerical discipline. The numbers lesson is the heart of it, including the Indian numbering trap where confusing 10 million with 1 crore is a recurring and expensive error, and why you must read the units note before touching a figure. It covers framework-correct terminology (an IFRS caption rendered with a US GAAP term is a substantive error), the very high translation-memory leverage of templated reporting, and the compliance reality of handling material non-public information.
